Big Supermarkets in Puerto Pollensa

We read recently on a forum somebody asking for “a tip off, of the closest “real” supermarket by real i mean the one(s) where the prices are not bumped up for the tourists! We always seem to find these during the last few days of our hols so this time I’m trying to be ahead of the game! “

So these are 2 recommendations:

Eroski Supermarket in Puerto Pollensa

The Eroski supermarket (before called Caprabo) on the Pollensa road is situated opposite the petrol filling station, just as you enter the port. Eroski is the biggest, largest, most modern and with competitive prices, and probably this is the reason why all the locals shop there.  There is a car park in the basement if you drive there, and if you are staying on the outskirts of Puerto Pollensa but you don’t have car, a good suggestion is to walk to Eroski and get a taxi back with your purchases

Eroski do a delivery service, it costs three or is it five euros.

• Eroski in the centre of Puerto Pollensa: street Avenida de Joan XXIII, 22
  Located near the marina is smaller than other and a bit more expensive. This supermarket is a lot smaller than the big one outside the main center but for some small shopping ideal as it is just a few steps away from the port. Continue walking the main street and after 8 minutes you will get to the big Eroski. During summer time these supermarkets are open every day: 08:00 – 21:15

• Eroski on the main road from Pollensa to Port Pollensa: Carretera Pollensa km 4,4
  You will find it in the industrial area on the Pto Pollensa-Pollensa road on the left-hand side when leaving Pto Pollensa. Quiet a good option if you are staying in a villa or the outskirts of the old town.

• Eroski in Pollensa old town: Vía Argentina, 15

Lidl Supermarket close to Pollensa old town

Between Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa you will find Lidl, well known in many countries. They only way to get to this supermarket is by car, they have a big parking place so very ready for some big food shopping! Ideal for families and groups, prices are good and most likely you will find products you are used to buy back home. You can visit the Liddl every day:

• Timetable: Lidl are open 9am to 9:30pm Mon-Sat, Sundays 9 to 3.

Small Supermarkets in Puerto Pollensa: Spar

The Spar supermarkets you find everywhere along the seafront and are ideal for when you need something while sunbathing on the beach as they are located just a few steps away. Most of the Spar supermarkets sell everything. Also for fresh bread, croissants and sweet delights for breakfast before heading to the beach, you are at the right place! Just bear in mind, Spar supermarkets are a little bit more expensive than other supermarkets.

This is because of the fact they are located very much in the center and along the boulevard.  Also, the Spar supermarkets in Puerto Pollensa have their doors open all day and every day:08:00 – 23:00

Alcampo supermarket:

Another option worth to mention is Alcampo big supermarket. If you are driving from the to Pollensa, you can stop there to do some shopping. If you approach this, there is a sign for “Decathlon ” , the big sporting goods shop. Alcampo is well worth a visit and there are a couple of good places there to grab a snack .
